Old Friends that have passed on

As many of you know, it can be incredibly challenging to cope with the loss of a cherished dog. They are more than just animals; they are beloved members of our families who bring us happiness, affection, and companionship. Although they may no longer be with us their memory endures, and the influence they had on our lives will never be forgotten. Let us take a moment to commemorate and pay tribute to the dogs who have passed away and the special place they hold in our hearts

Merle

Merle was a versatile dog who excelled beyond his age in many different aspects. He was a phenomenal example of his breed, intensely willing to please and naturally talented. In the fall of 2023, Merle received his dock diving senior title and ran his NAVHDA Natural Ability test, earning himself a Prize 2. Although there were some slight issues in the track, he was absolutely flawless in his field and water.

We lost Merle in January of 2024 in a tragic accident. Losing this dog almost made me throw in the towel, he was so, so special. To lose him was a loss to the whole breed as he had so much to offer. Fortunately, we have Merle's half brother (Knox) and half sister (Emmy Lou). We are eager to see how much they will be like Merle.

Merle's impact will not be forgotten.
